Privacy Policy

Who is responsible

cequal, based in France, is responsible for your data (the "controller" under the GDPR). Contact: support@cequal.xyz.

What we collect

When the bot is in a server. Discord user, channel, role and server IDs, and the data created by the features that server uses:

• moderation cases, warnings and private staff notes (who, by whom, reason, duration);
• economy balances, inventories, levels and XP, giveaway entries, roleplay counters;
• text you choose to give a feature: suggestions, tickets, reminders, custom commands;
• the server's settings (AutoMod, ranks, welcome messages and so on).

We do not store the content of ordinary chat messages. AutoMod and the honeypot check messages as they arrive and keep nothing unless they take action (for example a moderation case with its reason).

When you log in to the dashboard. Your Discord account ID, username and avatar, and the list of servers you are in with your permissions, so we can show the servers you manage. A short-lived Discord access token is kept in our cache to refresh that list, and a cookie keeps you signed in.

When you buy Premium. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. We store your Stripe customer ID, the plan, its status and renewal date, and which Discord user bought it for which server.

Technical logs. Our hosting provider processes IP addresses and request details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Why we use it

• To provide the bot, the dashboard and Premium you asked for (performance of a contract).
• To keep the service secure and stop abuse (legitimate interest).
• To keep billing records that tax and accounting law requires (legal obligation).

We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who helps us run cequal

• Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery and email forwarding.
• Neon: the database (United States).
• Upstash: the cache (United Kingdom).
• Stripe: payments.
• Discord: the platform the bot runs on, under Discord's own privacy policy.

Some of these providers process data outside the European Union. Those transfers are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Cookies

cequal.xyz only uses cookies that are needed for signing in to the dashboard (your session, and short-lived security cookies during login). No advertising or analytics cookies, so there is no cookie banner.

How long we keep it

• Server data is kept while cequal is in the server. When the bot is removed we keep the settings so they come back if it is added again; ask us and we delete everything for that server.
• Dashboard login data is refreshed while you use the dashboard; the access token expires on its own.
• Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires (up to 10 years in France).

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to or restrict how we use it. Email support@cequal.xyz with your Discord username (and the server, for server data); we answer within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr) or your own country's data protection authority.

Children

Discord requires users to be at least 13 (older in some countries). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below Discord's minimum age.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
